Lilac “Giving” Tree 2024.

Our Goal: $5,000

All donations will support our Scholarship Fund

Thank you!

Whatever Holidays you celebrate we are thinking of you all - clients, supporters, funders.
There's no snow yet, so we thought a White Giving Tree might be fun to see and different (though we did sprinkle a few purple leaves too!).

We recently re-discovered a book called The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. Yes, it's a children's book but it reminded us that our clients - whether parents or not - are often unconditionally giving in their families and relationships over many years. As a nonprofit, we would like to be the "Giving Tree" for our clients, for whenever, whatever they need during their process. For our clients the Holidays can be isolating, lonely, stressful, full of change, new traditions and sometimes moments of freedom and perhaps relief.

Help us show our clients support in 2 ways:

***Make a Donation - all donations welcome!
Help us fund our Ila Chaiken Scholarship Fund - which helps us give partial scholarships and access to all who need, as well as offer some free programs and services.

***Make a Comment of Support on your chosen Leaf!
Help us support our current and future clients this Holiday Season with Lilac Tree Hope - statements of bravery, support, a quote, advice, inspiration or holiday wishes.

Thank You! - The Lilac Tree Board and Staff

Choose A Leaf to Donate!

You can move around the branches and choose any size you want, and then change its color - well, the shade of white (or there are a few purple ones!). You can remain anonymous/not, write a message/not, share publicly or keep your donation private. You can also send us a check instead & we can still add your leaf and message!

All Donations are Welcome and tax deductible.

Prefer to donate by check (it saves on fees - thank you!) - let us know, email Lorraine at lmurphy@thelilactree.org and we can still add a Leaf and a message on your behalf. Please make payable and mail to The Lilac Tree, 1101 Davis Street, Unit 510, Evanston, IL 60204

Ancient trees are precious. There is little else on Earth that plays host to such a rich community of life within a single living organism.”
