Find connection, support and new friendships in a therapist-led Lilac Tree Support Group.

We offer groups for every stage of the process: contemplating divorce, in the process, life after divorce (post decree) and occasionally special topic groups such as Mothers & Daughters, Infidelity, Women Initiating Divorce, Baby Boomer Divorce.

Our 8-week groups are led by Licensed Clinical Social Workers who offer a therapeutic, compassionate and supportive environment. Finding friendship and support from other women at the same stage of separation or divorce is empowering. Our groups serve to connect women who are facing similar challenges and provide a supportive, positive environment from which to learn and grow. All support groups take place in a safe non-judgmental environment where women share their experiences and learn from each other.

If you are interested in joining a group or want more information please contact Julie or Bobbie, our Coordinators, at 847.328.0313 or by email at

Groups are limited to eight (8) women in a group and only begin when full.

All groups cost $35 per week, for a total of $280. (Groups are not pro-rated).

Since there are limited spaces in each group, pre-registration and a Commitment Payment (half the full fee) are required to secure your space. Payment can be made using a payment plan over the length of group for the remaining amount.

Through our Scholarship Fund, fee assistance is also available if needed.

Please note: there are no refunds on commitment or group payments.

The group of friends that I have made is amazing...and seriously, we seem to mesh so well, that I can’t imagine that I’ve only known these women for 12 weeks or so. I can’t imagine my life without them in it anymore!
